My one month as a sales assistant.

Oh me gosh, it has been forever *apart from Pochi's random dusting* since we've actually posted a blog post! @_@ And since this blog is for our random rants, I shall rant about my first ever retail job. I must say, I've been pretty patient with typical Malaysian stupidity and rudeness. In fact, I have never scolded any of my customers, even though they've made me soooo close to kicking them out of the shop, and instead, I smiled at them. One month as a sales assistant, I've found some stuffs that a sales person might get pissed and annoyed at.

  1) Calling a chinese girl Ah Moi.

 Does it look like I'm gonna go pikat Kapten Hassan? Does it look like I'm her? Not every chinese girl has "Moi" in her name. Even if she does, she did not give you permission to be overly friendly and call her "Ah Moi" like you've known her forever.

  2) Walking in with a bunch of friends of about 8 people, all randomly flipping through things like you can all bloody comfortably afford more than one piece of t-shirt from the 50% off rack, and only one of you buys one of those said t-shirts. 

I hate it when only ONE person buys something, his/her other croonies would waltz right in, demanding for some random RM600 pair of jeans which he/she obviously can't afford, then just tries everything and every size and in the end, not buy or even say thank you. Do they all have to come in and make so much noise then walk out? I'd very much prefer it if they didn't walk in. I don't need your RM90 of business. The trouble you brought worths more than that stupid RM90 of yours.

  3) That stupid kissing shit sound that Malay guys like to make.

 I'm sorry, I don't remember allowing pets into my store. It's so rude. I've never liked that sound when I first heard some random idiot making it to attract the attention of his friend, and I will hate it even more if its used on me. Don't think that just because I'm working in a shop, that makes me less of a human than you, nor do I need your business. I've heard it a total of three times, used on me, one more time, and I won't hesitate to be rude. My job isn't as important as my pride as a human being. I'm not a dog.

  4) People who are deaf to a sales person's words.

 I can be telling them that the bottom shelves has the same jeans as the top shelf, just in different sizes, and they're still stupid enough to open the bottom ones and ask me "Ini bukan sama dengan ini ka?" pointing at the one he took from the top and bottom. Are you that stupid?

  5) People who unfolds EVERYTHING, even though its the same design, same pattern, same cutting, but a different colour, just to have a look.

 Are you dumb or blind? It's OBVIOUSLY the same damn thing, just a different colour. Why the hell would you need to unfold it just to have a look at it, then pile them all up on the shelf and just leave? Its not like the two has different designs or pictures on it. Its the same design, same everything! Did you not go to kindy, where they teach shapes and stuff?

  6) Is it that hard to just put the bloody wallet back the same position you found it?

 Seriously, is putting back a wallet THAT HARD? Is it reaaalllllyyy necessary to just throw the wallet around? I never find it hard to place something back in its original position when I'm shopping. I don't see why others can't do the same. Is it because they know that like it or not, we sales assistants would have to clear it up for them, or are they really that incompetent?

  7) People who think they're above us. (This, especially, goes out to those Chinese aunties and uncles who think that we sales people are so poor that we really need to grovel on the ground below their feet just to earn a living)

 I never understood why they have to always act so snobbish. Woman, you're obviously taller than me by at least half a head, and you can easily reach the hangers without even tip toeing, and yet, you make me reach up to get that stupid piece of clothing that makes you look even auntier? God.. Making me tip toe just wastes another 5 seconds of your already useless life. And just because you're a customer, that doesn't give you the right to think that I'm your slave. When I say you can only try on five articles at a time, you take only five damn articles,and go try it out first. Aunty/Uncle, just because you're carrying some cheapass LV bag, does not give you the right to mistreat my goods. You don't have to throw them around when you don't want to purchase them. I'm right here, waiting to hang or fold whatever it is, back up. I know la, the clothes in Guess isn't as expensive as your pirated LV bag, but you don't have to treat it as though its rubbish. Some might even worth more than your fake LV la, aunty. As for you uncles, don't go calling people "eh eh!" like as if there isn't a better way of calling us. You can always say "Excuse me".


 From the one month that I've been working in a retail outlet, I've found lots of people who do not deserve any respect from the sales assistants. Soooo many of them do not even deserve half the respect we give them. If you want us to smile and be nice to you, you have to also smile and be nice to us. In order for us to respect you, you have to respect us as well. I know this looks like a whole lot of complain about my current job, but I've noticed this since even before I started working. Sitting there in some random shop, waiting for my mother to choose something, I've seen so many people who just gets on people's nerves. I wonder how people in this bidang tahan all these kinda nonsense thrown at them for months and months. Gosh. Some people think that just because we're working there in a shop, we must be poor and stupid, because we're not working somewhere else in an office. I doubt it has ever crossed their minds that probably the people working there might have nothing better to do than to stand there in a mall and get paid for it (yes, I'm talking about me having nothing better to do than to stand and earn 5 bucks per hour when I can be sleeping and lazing about at home everyday). Geez.. Some people. -___- I hate those tukau tukau men who walk in like they can bloody buy the whole shop on whim. They walk in, mess everything up, then leaves. Assholes.

OMG, Sabs texted me at 9 am and when I read it I was like, OMGG~!!!! WE GOT THE PASSES~!!!! ADAAAMMMM~!!! Yes, I actually shouted that out loud in the Sg. Perak rest stop. Everyone turned and stared at me~ Sabs said to get to Bukit Jalil by 5 to get the tickets cause around 5, we'd be going to meet Adam.. So. I pergilah awal awal cause Sabs said ada jam buttttt.... Babi.. Took us less than 15 minutes to get there.. =.= So.. We tunggu Sabs to come~ =D Once she datang, we went to get those meet and greet passes.. And we were like... So..Where's the VIP Fanclub, cause thats what Neil said, to go look for the meet and greet fanclub to follow them in.

It took us ONE WHOLE HOUR to find it. We asked EVERYONE there and none of them knew what the hell is a VIP Fanclub... So... Selepas sekian lama, WE FOUND IT~!!! Well, there were people who looked like hardcore fans gathered near our parents so... We went there and asked the guy coordinating those people and asked them if that was the VIP Fanclub and he was like "Yeah it is" *or something along those lines* "The list is with him *points to some random Ah Moh dude* so I dunno who is in or not" Sooo.. Sabs was like, just go line up and see la~

The people in line were holding pieces of printed out emails and everything and I was like.. Eh eh, we dont have la those email thingies... How ah how ah? D: She was like... Tak apa laaaa~ We line up~ =D Then she was like, take out IC first~ When the Random Ah Moh dude came to us we were like... Uh... We dont have those papers but uhm.. We have these *show the passes* And that Random Ah Moh dude was like.. Oh I know youu~!!!! And someone from the back goes.. "HEY NEIL~!" And Sabs and I were like... YOU'RE NEIL!?!?!?!? *tak tahu he heard us or not.. ._.* So we were like.. THANK YOU FOR GETTING THESE PASSES FOR USS~!!!! He was like, "so all of you are Kordesch related?" Sabs was like, no, just me *points at me* best friend, *points at my parents* best friend's parents.. So... We cakap cakap more with NEIL LAMBERT and at one moment he was like "Where is the others, they're late and I'm starting to not care anymore" Hahhahahahahahahhaha~!!! Luuuurve Neil~ ^^

Some woman from that fanclub was like, "Hey, where did you get that?" *points at our passes* "Is that special?" We were like.. Uhh.. Yeah. ._. And something along the lines of Neil giving it to us. =p And and and.. When he asked how many people got our pass we were like.. Uhh.. Just Sabrena Arosh and Kelly Tung. He was like, "but I left 3 at the counter, Where's your aunt?" She explained that she's in the States and so my mummy asked if she could go along then, with the other pass. *alamak, so damn embarrassing la my mother.. @_@* And he was like confused or something and somehow, my parents got to follow along but Adrian and Aunty Lean Sim didn't get to go along cause they didn't buy the tickets.. T_T Thanks alot, auntyyy~!!!! I lurve youuu~!!! ^^

So... When we were ready, kami jalanlah to the back of the stadium. Babi jauh la, the back.. Swt... He brought us to some room to wait for Adam~ While waiting Sabs and I got a few pictures of Neil, I think. =O DDDDDDDD: We wanted to thank him properly and take a photo with him but.. D: He was so busy working.. T_T He told us some rules; no kissing Adam, no cameras, *he'll take a picture of us then put it up onto the website* and if we have anything we wanna give Adam, put it in those two tiny lil boxes they provided and only 2 stuff to autograph each... *alamak, our malaysian organizer, macam babi la.. give two cardboard boxes nia.. @_@* THEN THEN THEN THEN~!!!!!! AFTER A WHILEEE!!!! ADAM COMES INN~!!! WOOOOTTT~!!! He was so so so so SOOOO CUTEEE~!!! Adaaammmm~~ ^^ He was waving to all of us~!!! ^^ So cuuteeee.. DDDDD: Kesian Neil.. Had to do all these for his brother~ =D *I'd feel REAAAALLLY awkward, if I have to take SOOOOO many photos of my own brother with STRANGERS EVERY SINGLE WEEK...* And they were like, first rows first~ *there were three rows of chairs* They were pretty organised. We went through a partition by groups but we got to talk to him individually or in groups if we want.

Neil was like, Oh and this is Wendy's cousin and these are here friends and Adam was like.. Owhhh~!!! Hiiii~!!!! So cuteee.. DDDDDD: So.. Mummy and daddy had their stuff autographed first~ =p *well, its more like mummy had hers and another for Adrian and Daddy gave him 3 to autograph, his ticket and his friend's daughter's stuff* They talked to him for a bit and they took a photo~ Then then~ it was Sabs and I~ *even though we went into that lil room thing last since Sabs, being Wendy's cousin, and I, being Sab's friend, we got to go first~ =p He was like.. "Hiiii~!! Nice to meet youu~! Whats your name~?" I was like, "I'm Kelly~" He was like, "owhh~!! Kelly~! And you?" Sabs was like, "I'm Sabrena~" Anddd we shook hands~ Then he was like, "What'd you want me to autograph~?" So.. I passed him both his albums and he signed it~!!! ^^ Sabs opened up his poster and OH MY GODDD!!!! HIS AUTOGRAPH ON THAT ONE IS AWESOMEEEE~!!!! *I'm jealous.. TT_TT* And I was like, staring at him.. I don't know what was going on in my mind and I was like.. "Can I hug you~?" He was like.. "OF COURSEEE~!!!" And he hugged meee~!!! I was like.. *in my head* OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG!!! I'M HUGGING ADAM LAMBERT!!!!! OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG!!! @_@* I was.. Am.. SUPER HAPPY!! Then we took a picture~ *Sabs Adam and I, I mean* Thats the end of looking at Adam up close. D: Wish I could meet him again.. T_T

Adam's fans.. Hmm... They loook.. Uhh... Interesting, most of them.. ._. There were only a few people who were... Uhm.. Plain.. ._. Obviously, Sabs and I were one of the plain ones~ =p Some woman in her late 40s or early 50s, came out telling my parents that she MOLESTED Adam's ass~!! Hahahahhahahhahaah!! So cute~ =p And and and.. Some girl got her arm autographed!!! =OOOOOO Some guy, brought his ELECTRIC GUITAR and got it AUTOGRAPH!! @_@ Omg.. @_@ After everyone met Adam, they rushed us outta the room and outta the stadium JUST TO GET BACK IN cause Neil or rather, some guy, managed to get us priority seating~ *this means that we get to sit first, not BEST SEATS*

We had to like, wait for like, ONE WHOLE HOUR till the OPENING ACT starts.. We went in at like, 7pm. Waited till like, 8pm. In between, they played these few adverts and every time they see Adam and Kris from American Idol, Top 3, if I'm not mistaken, they just HAAAAAAVVVVVEEEEE to scream, the people in the hall, I mean. Gosh.. And and, there was this one advert about Adam by DiGi, they'd scream too, whenever its played.. =.= And its a loop thing, the adverts are in sequence, so... Imagine the number of times they screamed.. @_@ Gosh.. @_@

The opening act.. Hmmmm. The first guy to come on stage, is some boy from Hollywood, who won like, 4 awards from somewhere and awards in performing arts and some singing thing.. Name's Iqwal or something.. *sounds abit like ah kua.. Looks abit like one too.. ._. Agak pendek.. * He sang... Jay Sean's Down~ =DDD Was awesome~ =DDDD love his dance moves~ ^^ Then then then.. DANIEL LEE with some awesome violinist came out~!!!! I think his name is uhm... Dennis Lau or something.. I dunno. @_@ OMG.. THE VIOLINIST IS AWESOMEEEE~!!!!! LOOOOOVEEEEEE his violin too~ =p Electric violin.. =OOO Daniel sang Its My Life by Bon Jovi~ ^^ Daniel DEFINITELY improved.. ._. Was hoping they'd call Jaclyn Victor instead.. T_T She'd be WAAAAAAAYYY better than Daniel.. Sorry.. I'm more of a Jaclyn fan~ =p We had to wait for quite a while before ADAM came on stage~

Tunggu tunggu.. Sudah bosan, nearly fell asleep.. The people down there, standing, got bored.. Started to play with HUUUUUUUUGGGEEEEEEE DiGi balloons. Hahahhahahahahahhaha.. So cute~ =D There were like, 6 of them.. @_@ A few deflated... ._. Others were removed before Adam came on stage~ Finally started at around 9 something.. @_@ Imagine the number of hours I've been waiting JUST TO WATCH.. @_@ I've been there since 3pm.. @_@

T_T Oh well~ We saw that uhh.. Iqwal guy there~ =D Taking pictures with fans~ =D So small sized, that boy~ =D budak kecik~! Ah welll~ Went back to the hotel after that~ ^^

I cant believe I actually met Adam Lambert... ._. I can't believe I met Adam Lambert.. @_@ I cant believe I HUGGED AND SHOOK HANDS AND GOT HIS AUTOGRAPH!! @_@ He looks EXACTLY as he does on TV in real life.. @_@

Aunty Lean Sim, Wendy and Neil, thank you guys so so so so so so so so so sooooo much, again, for getting those passes~!!!!!!! I'm REAAAAALLLLLLY REALLY happy to have met Adam.. Thank you so so so soooo much!!! =DDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

Lol. Le blog has not been updated in a while. So I shall take on the difficult task that is updating. Rawr. Quite a few birthdays have passed without update. Amelia's, Krystal's and Kelly's. BOO!!! For no updates. BOO!!! Anyway, Melia's birthday. Hmm. What happened... Uhhh... Dammit the only thing I can remember is Swiss roll ._. OH YEA!!! Chili's. Melia took us to Chili's. And we ate. A lot. The main mode of transport here is obviously the Tube.. @_@ It's not cheap, to us Malaysian, friggin cheap to them.. ._. Its only like.. 4 pounds for them to travel in the tube for the whooole day... ._. its friggin cheap to them. And the shoppping here.. Omg.. SOOO CHEAAAAP!! To them. =.= Its like, 30 pounds and you get an awesome looking jacket! =D Mummy bought me a jacket~! =D Imma gonna get another one form Paris, probbaly.. ._.

OOOOO!! Mummy agreeed to get me an iPhone 4! =D Its only like... 499 pounds!! but when I was gonna get one, its sold off.. T_T Gonna go to Paris/ New Castle to get one.. ._.

Change in rules
1. We're now allowed to untuck our uniforms. It's not a rule to tug our shirts into our pants anymore.
2. Some stupid rule about not being allowed to eat anywhere else apart from the canteen, and even if we do eat in the Laman Ko-op, we're only allowed to do so with certain criteria met.. >.>
3. When we dismiss from our daily assembly, its not by classes anymore. Everyone just goes their own way. DDDD: The lines are barely seen during assembly itseld.. DDDD:
4. Our hairstyles, aren't limited to just a pony tail or two. Apparently, we can make our hair up as much as we want, as long as its tied up.. @_@ You can have a million clips on it, making it look really fancy, and noone gives a damn, unless its let down.
5. Form 1s to 5s are not allowed to bring a laptop unless a permission slip is signed by Cik Rohaiza herself. That means the Ed Board has lotsa problems working now.. >.>
6. Students are allowed to paint their class ANY COLOUR they want or do any weird decorations they want, as long as it looks nice. They're also allowed to arrange tables however they want.
There're alot more, I just don't know them.. >.> I didn't attend the Form 6 orientation. DD:

New stuff~
1. The form 1 badges, instead o being purple, its not ORANGE. icky ORANGE...
2. There're like, 25 to 30 new teachers! >=[ Most of our awesome teachers are leavinggg.. DD:
3. @_@ There's so much red in our school!! @_@
4. SOOOOO many more notice boards around..
5. DDDDDDDDDDDD: SO MANEH MORE MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS!!! DDDD;
6. There's a new walk way being built from Laman Ko-op to the cafetaria.
7. The canteen is friggin renovated, I don't even know whats where!!!
8. They change the class's positions again. =.=
9. There're also teachers who rejected being Panitias of certain subjects or Ketua Bidang.. >.>

DDDD: I don't like our school now.. DD: Its like I don't even know whats what now!! T_T
It's like being a form one student ALL OVER AGAIN!! T_T Worse than a form one, seeing as how I don't recognise all the new teachers.. >.>

I thus resurrect our blog :DDDDDDDDDDD Jkjk. It has been a long time since anyone has updated =/ We should have blogged abt the bbq *nodnod*. But we didn't =/ I suppose blogging has lost some of its appeal huh? xD Aaaaanyway, the most recent Gang Gila-Gila activity was the supposed send off for one Pochi Azlan who was MIA. Hahahaha. So it was just yours truly, Kelly, Melia, Krystal and Su Jen. Gurney was fun xD Shopping for Mother's Day presents and, of course, stuffing our faces (Read: Melia's 'facial mask' aka Song Song bun and my crepe). Then Ah Jen Jen had to go home so moi, Melia, Kelly and Krystal went off to commemorate Aids Memorial Day at Times Square. Hahahaha. Emo-ing in the car to Adam Lambert is so lame =D But we all had to do it for Kelly's sake. Aids Memorial Day was semi-interesting. Kelly~ Post pics xDDDD Then rushing back coz Kelly has to watch Ironman. Lololol. And that was that xD Such a short post huh? Oh well~~

Kem PLKN: Tangkas Kendiri Kumpulan 1 Siri 7 2010

When I first found out I got it, I was OK with it~ I wanted to go~ M16 is awesome~ =DDDD
The only thing I didn't like about it was the bathing part.. I used to think the toilets would be some dinky part of the camp where its all dirty and dark..

So, on January 4th 2010, I went to PISA to register~ Met... Uh... Aisha and a few other school mates.. ._. can't remember their names, though. Hime-chama, Sabs, Adrian, Reuben, and Aunty Lean Sim came to send me off tooo~! =D Mummy, daddy and Aunty Alice were there tooo~! =D We were probably the noisiest buncha people there, since my friends from NS could recall me laughing with you guys. ._.

Reuben told me about how they steal each other's underwear... But thats only in the guys' dorm, thank god~ =D And someone told me something about tying a string from the banana tree to someone's feet and something like that.. Forgot already. ._. We were making sooo much noise!!! In PISA was also the first time I've ever met Declan.. ._. I've only ever heard his name, mentioned by none other than Looi Kah Mei. I didn't really know which one was Declan when I wasn't on board the bus.. Dx I only knew where he was standing at, roughly. Dx Found out who he was when we were in the bus, having our roll call.. ._.

People started boarding the bus, so I ikut la. Naik bus, duduk paling tepi so I can see what was Sabs saying... Bus tak jalan lagi, so Sabs made me go back down and obviously, I did~ =D Cakap cakap, I was the last one to naik bus..=_= Sudah naik, lagi SMS orang kat bawah. Hahahahahhaha.. Mummy, daddy and Aunty Alice left before I even went on the bus! >.<>.<>.<>.<>=[* I had to ask Amira for her charger cause I saw she had the same one I do.. Dx She was really friendly.. ._. She was like, Hello! What's your name? My name is Amira~ I was kinda taken aback since I didn't really expect friendly and good english speaking malays around.. >.< *Pochi, I don't mean you're not friendly or anything [what the heck am I saying?]. You're more Ah Moh than Malay... =.=* then, I minta pinjam her charger... Dx

So after settling in *kinda*, we were all asked to kumpul in the DM. Only the new pelatihs are asked to kumpul, so we went la~ =D There, Bhanu and I called Jang Yee over so we could get to know each other.. ._. So we cakap cakap la. Found out she speaks cantonese. Her english isn't that bad etcetc. Then, mereka ask us to line up outside the DM, below the red canopy thingy to get our uniforms.. Dx We were told all sorts of nonsense... Can't remember what cause I wasn't listening, of course~ =D

After distributing and crap, we went back to our dorm to simpan barang. It took like, AN ETERNITY to distribute. I was texting the whole time, of course~ ^^" We didn't do much d, for the rest of the day. ._. We were made to wear that icky ugly PT attire the next time we kumpul, which was at 5.30, when its my first ever roll call in NS~! By then, I was already dreading NS.. I was wondering which part of NS did I like again? I just couldn't wait to go home cause it was EXTREMELY boring... By 5.30, every pelatih that was supposed to come on that day arrive d. ._. It was after a while before I found out what Alpha and stuff meant.. ._.

The first week was EXTREMELY BORING.. =.= We didn't do ANYTHING... =.= but this is when we got to know each other. Started off with a group of three, Bhanu, Jang Yee and I. Then, after the first week, we got to know Pei Ee, See Keng, Jie Shi, Yasini, Soong Yi and Aneeta. I was thinking to myself, "OMG, pretty girl~ But kinda cocky, isn't she? D=" when I first saw Soong Yi. I thought she was the flirty flirty type. The hiao hiao wan.. But, she isn't!!! I thought she was pretty proud, cause when we were doing the Kontrak Kita Janji thing, she was like, woahhh.. Doing more stuff than me.. ._. Btw, Kontrak Kita Janji is the time when we designed our company flag, find a group name and pledge(?) that we're all in this together and crap... We were FORCED to swear that we're goona be punished as a whole; a whole company, whole dorm, whole camp, etc~

The first week was just us doing that and going for some practice for pelancaran of Satu Malaysia peringkat Kem PLKN. We went to Desa Rimba, which was where they had the pelancaran. That pelancaran thing involves... 3 camps, Tangkas Kendiri, Desa Rimba and Tengkuk *dunno the spelling* It was boring la..=.= OMG.. Desa Rimba's camp is AWESOME!!!! T_T It looks so clean and new and stuff even though both our camps started out the same time! There, I met Ruth and Aisha! =DDDD Noone else, sadly.. T_T

Thats all for the first week. The pelancaran was on Friday, so... ._. I'll continue tomorrow la. ._. Now wann continue my presentation d. ._.

Laptop, YOU FAILED MEEEE!!! AGAINNN!!!!

After SOOO long, I finally got news about my laptop.
Guess what? It DIED!!! The hard disk CRASHED... T_T That does mean that ALLLLLL my data is GONE!! Pictures from prom, NS, sports day, etcetc. is GONE. T_T All my songs and everything, GONE... Haih.. Whats with my luck with hard disks?!!??! Why do they all hate me! So, this means that I'll be posting a long overdue post about NS without pictures.. Dx

Firstly, I'd like to thank everyone who came for the lunch and dinner! Thank you guys! Missed you loads..and kinda realised how much I missed you during lunch and dinner..just can't have the same kind of cheerful banter in college..it lacks kelly and sabs insulting me, meep cutting in with funny remarks, Lyssa's random lawakness and Rach's down-to-earth sensibility (except when she's hyper of course xD)

POCHI! WHY WHY WHY WHY DID YOU HAPPEN TO GO MAKKAH DURING MY BIRTHDAY?

Anyway, just so you know Poch, a motion has been passed and approved by the majority while you were gone. WE SHALL MEET FOR LUNCH EVERY FORTNIGHT TO CATCH UP xD

Lunch

Went to queensbay at about 1pm which was the plan xD sadly real events rarely follow plans set by anyone eh? The confirmed "guest list" was at that time:

Why the suddenly exchange of Amelia Loo with Sabrena Arosh you ask? Simplez, dear meep suddenly cancelled at approximately 1pm ++ and Sabby's dad happened to be at queensbay at that time buying a present. So everyone basically rendezvous at Sakae's Sushi (cause lyssa had some voucher thingeh) at about 2pm due to various complications including leaving church late, walk for sight (some moral project according to meep) and just being Malaysian-time late xD

Sat down, started our random conversations on college, college, SPM, random results from googling self (Sabrena), the high achievers award ceremony, bugging people to come for dinner, etc etc..

Ate sushi, rice (for kelly) green tea, need I elaborate? LOL (forgot d anyway)

Ends up me daddy who was supposed to fetch me from queensbay couldn't. Cause my sister came back the day before and he sent her off to airport and was coming back to fetch moi and it so happened no one was at Sakae's at that time yet EXCEPT moi. So I took a bus back LOL

Twas most fun, especially all the catching uppies.

Twas even more funny when Scott called Sabby (or vice versa?) and Alyssa took the phone:

Dinner

Went to the bbq steamboat thing..picked up Pei Wen (from her house), Susan and Jing Ying (from the KDU hostel since Susan is from Ipoh and Jing Ying is from mainland). For Pochi's sake: Pei Wen, Susan and Jing Ying are college mates xD I was driving with daddy sitting next to me as usual..HE SAYS I CAN DRIVE ALONE TOMORROW, 15 APRIL 2010 LOL

Well..he's been saying things like that for quite awhile without results so I'm being cautiously optimistic xD the funny thing is, I'm not used to picking up people, just driving myself all over the place...ends up when I picked up Pei Wen i kinda drove a little when she was closing the door and she obviously panicked a little o.O she was like, "My door my door!" sorry Pei Wen u_u SO SORRY! (not like you read this blog since I never actually told any college friends about it @@)

Not to mention since her name is Susan when people call her or me we get confused xD some people even sengaja do that to confuse us -.- like Kelly said, if she was in Pn Annie's class die d xD

Well, did more catching uppies since there were more people..and we passed the fortnight motion thing (kindly refer to the above) And I did a little venting and got presents and banged my head twice against the gate pillar thingeh that was behind due to laughing so hard since everyone was being their usual retarded selves, except Meep and Rach who are rarely retarded xD the big bruise is still there since I banged my head pretty hard and on the SAME spot at that, tis much like a bruise on a bruise o.O

All the college mates left early except Susan and Jing Ying who are dependant on me fetching them back to the hostel xD after that we sat down ate ice cream like mad, talk and talk and talked

Really makes me realise how much I miss you guys since I can't do such things in college..not that I don't have fun in college...it's just a different kind of fun since the people are different u_u

You guys are really precious you know.

I shall have to learn to treasure the moments I have with you while we're all still in Penang.

The Utter Tyranny of Detention Without Trial - a very true and recent story (by Art Harun)

Most of you may have read that Azean Irdawaty's son, Benjy, was recently arrested for apparently in possession of 800grams of cocaine, and 140grams of methamphetamine. If true, that would make him a presumed trafficker under our law. The death sentence would be staring at his face.

However, they only charged him with being in possession of 0.24grams of metaphetamine. What happened to the 800 grams of cocaine? And 139.76 grams of metaphetamine which he supposedly have?

To top it up, today, the Star reported that the "powder" found was not cocaine after all!

After bail was granted, he was re-arrested under the Dangerous Drugs (Special Preventive Measures) Act 1985. This Act is the drug version of the ISA. It allows detention without trial.

In addition, Amer Hamzah, his lawyer, was manhandled by the police. Lawyers are planning a protest walk tomorrow.

On March 11th, he was arrested at his apartment's parking lot in Segambut. Police brought him to an apartment he rented in Kepong, and after entering, claimed that in that residence, he possessed 800grams of cocaine, and 140grams of methamphetamine, and accused him of processing and trafficking, putting him under the risk of being charged under Section 39B, which carries the death penalty.

On March 12th he was remanded for 7 days. When my parents inquired if we can engage a lawyer, the Investigation Officer told us "No need".

On March 17th, after our family waited more than an hour, we were allowed to see him for the very first time, under supervision.

Again my mother asked if we should get him a lawyer, again the I.O advised against it, claiming "Lawyer tak boleh buat apa-apa sekarang. Buang duit je. (Lawyer can't do anything now. It's simply a waste of money)."

On March 18th, his remand was extended another 7 days. The magistrate inquired why there was no lawyer present for him, and whether he was made aware he had the right to a counsel of his choice. He replied "No." Therefore, he requested for one, and only nine hours later, did the I.O call to inform my mother, who promptly engaged Amer Hamzah Arshad. But the very next day, the police used their Executive authority under Section 28A that vetoed his right to a counsel. All requests made by our lawyer to visit him was denied.

Only after we complained to SUHAKAM, did the police allow Amer to visit him.

On the last day of his remand. After the investigations were concluded. For only 15 minutes.

On March 25th, he was brought to court, and charged under Section 12(2) for possession of 0.24grams of metaphetamin in his Segambut residence. Nothing the police claimed they found in the Kepong residence, the cocaine and shabu that was "already packaged to be distributed" or the so called "cocaine processing mini-lab" was brought to court.

Because there WAS none.

He was released on bail. A trial date was set. He was so close to being free, and seeing his 4 year old son again.

But as he was signing the papers of his release, the Plainclothes were outside waiting.

Not two steps after he came out of the bail department, without any explanation, they re-arrested him. Amer was restrained from protecting him, and only after Amer repeatedly asked them to show their I.D, did they do so. Still, no explanation was given to the family. We were merely told to go to the Headquarters and speak to Inspector Kang. The same guy who claimed my brother possessed the cocaine they NEVER found.

He never saw us, he was "in a meeting." He wasn't too occupied to give the press a statement, but was unavailable to see us.

We were told by the new I.O for this case, and the DSP (the guy who signed the papers denying my brother the right to a counsel) that they are detaining him for 60 days under the Special Preventive Measures Act (LPK), after which, they could further detain him for 2 years if found guilty.

Guilty according to THEM. For under this act, it is a detention without trial, like the Internal Security Act. Any information gathered from "witnesses" and "investigations" will never be disclosed to him or his lawyer, or the court. He will also not be able to defend himself against any allegations. Under this act, he will never have his day in court.

On March 25th, my brother, Ben, was denied his Constitutional rights.

For 2 weeks, our family went through hell. Sleepless nights, press waiting outside our door, Ben had asthma attacks after the police delayed themselves in acquiring the requested medication for 3 days, Mama, who is a cancer patient herself, suffered chest pains and lost her voice.

We felt it was all worth it, for we would be able to have him back.

But now, a new nightmare has begun.

Whether or not Ben is guilty, should not be for the Police to decide. If they HAD the evidence to strengthen their warrant for re-arrest, why was it not brought to court? Why is Ben not given a chance to defend himself? How can we ever know the authenticity of these so called witnesses and their statements? If there were ANY to begin with?

Under this act, I could simply be caught for any crimes of drug offences the police accuse me of, because they can claim they have enough information (even if they have absolutely nothing) and detain me. For 60 days, for 2 years, and even EXTEND it after.

Acts like this and the ISA are licenses for ARBITRARY arrest and detention. Anytime. Anywhere. Anybody.

My family and Amer will not back down. We will fight for Ben's right. We will speak up for all of those who were silenced before us, who will be silenced hereafter.

But we seek your help. In any way at all, help us fight this. Re-post this, write on your blogs, write to your local representative, to our newspapers, and together we shall use our voice, our art, our space, to stand up not just for Ben, but for all our rights.

Liberty is a Constitutional right. It's time to get it back.

I have said it many times and I will say it again. Detention without trial is inhuman, unjust and is an affront to civil society. It causes more damage than the damage which it is designed to avert.

And it breeds abuse. And laziness on the part of our authorities. Why bother to investigate when the so caled "bad guys" could be detained without trial?

The above story is but ONE of the thousands of untold stories about detention without trials.

It is but ONE of the agony, anguish and anger which is felt about this utterly uncivilised affront to fundamental liberties.
